Vicar ´s wife, want it or not.

a very good surprise!
Cathy Rentzenbrink: Ordinary time. 2024.
This one was a very enjoyable read! Quite a surprise (and would have deserved a more catching title).
There is a woman, Ann and as she is very lonely in her other wise quite enjoyable life. So, she gets married and almost by accicent she ends up being a vicar´s wife.
She is no ordinary one, that we get to learn but I loved the prose, the flow in it, the life of Ann told with compassion with humour with wit.
A lot of themes I enjoy in a good book, questions of God, religion, church, community, marriage, of love, of motherhood, of parentfood, being a daughter, being a sister. There is joy and soeeow, ordinary time, too and Cathy Rentzenbrink - a totally new autor to me - writes with talent and yes, this was a very enjopyable read and I will not give away more about the plot. Read (or listen as an audio version, such an enjoyable version fr this book, too).
Very good!
