When family ruptures

like only Cusk writes it
Rachel Cusk. Aftermath. 2012.
So far all I have read from Rachel Cusk has left me in understanding that this, text, Cusk, she know hernbusiness, the thinking, the writing of the thoughts the perceptions. I have loved her trilogy, her Parade, her novels and of course this, Aftermath, I bought, too, because of Cusk and because of divorce.
It has been way over two decades from my divorce and reading Cusk ´s text I realized that I have forgotten nearly all of the feelings (the bad) of that horrid time. Time makes it ´s wonders, they , all things pass, time heals, and now that I have proven those being true to myself, too. I do not carry the hate the rage the anger the bitterness the dissapointment the feeling of let down in all levels of a woman a mother a partner a friend.
So, in that sense it was a good read and maybe because ot that (those faded feelings, those feelings used to the core and now non excistent) this book did not do much for me. This only moved me a little, only gave me understanding the greatness of Cusk, but otherwise, this tea has gone down the gutter already so nope, it left me very lukewarm.
